Sup,
Erase one horrible tragedy from history can be anything bad. For example 9/11. You could erase it like it never happened and nobody lost anybody that day.(messing with time though would be unpredictable)
Also, global warming is controversial to some people. But I'm assuming most of you believe that it's not. Most people in the world agree with the global warming thing. So for that one, you can prevent global warmer by reversing the negative effects.

Sense amplified- Will I be able to control it? Like, will a fly a mile away be giving me headaches? Learn every fighting style- This sounds very useful, and no downsides that I can think off. Discover aliens- Something tells me that I won't survive first contact. Prevent a tragedy- As you said, things would be unpredictable. I may just make the world worse if it didn't happen. Discover Area 51- I'm sorry, I never really cared about area 51. Know how the world ends- That would be depressing, and knowing that you couldn't stop it as well. Reverse Global Warming- I do not believe in global warming in the first place. So this would be useless for me.

Erasing the Sykes-Picot meeting would lead to some interesting changes globally. But just getting rid of a tragedy doesn't preclude a worse one from being in its place, so I choose fighting master.

We can chose to eliminate one tragedy from the existence of history, possibly saving thousands of lives. Discover aliens, as I reckon finding alien life would be a big step forward in helping humanity unite as one race. Also, if it's intelligent life they might be able to share some cool new technology with us. Amplified senses would mostly be annoying and uncomfortable. I have no need to master one fighting style, never mind all of them. Everything that's happened in the history of our timeline has led to now, changing any of it might not work out too well. I don't care what's in Area 51, it's probably just some secret but boring military stuff. Knowing how the world will end would be depressing. Whilst reversing global warming would initially be a positive, chances are we'd then just carry on doing what we're doing now and be back in the same situation before too long. Also aliens might help us sort it out properly.

1 ReplyErase one horrible tragedy, easy. Probably not what most people would think, though. I'd go back and reverse the decision to defund the SSC (Superconducting Super Collider) back in 1993. This thing was supposed to be MASSIVE. The LHC in Europe is 27 km long while the SSC would have been 87 km long. We could have learned a lot more by now if that had actually gone through.
