Are we all out of time, is this really it?
Is all said and done? Or can we just take a moment
To reflect on the situation, what's here, yet to be;
All of what's happened, etched into memory.
Can we take a new step? Can we break away?
Escape from this life, from the rampant disarray;
The confusion assailing, it's an executioner's chorus,
Adorn us, in our final moments, before we lose focus.
The message is fading, already faded,
Faded out and away, lost in the decay,
Standing on the edge of sanity, in front of me,
A mocking ghost of disparity, or fantasy.
Separation, a barrier between what I see,
What's meant to be, a whole new world
In which to set me free from these chains.
It's all the same, every time it gets into my brain.
There is no escape, it's a cycle, repetition,
Lost in doubt, locked in this suspension.
Game over, game's done, game's won,
By the expectations set without consent.
No more time to vent, it's all out in the open,
And again, the only way out is broken.
This isn't really a serious poem, I was just emptying my head out before I went to sleep. If anyone chooses to read it, I hope you enjoyed it. If not...well, you're already here, so you probably weren't doing anything too important anyway. Goodnight, y'all. Sleep well.
I'll be honest, I don't like or get poetry, but from the few lines I could decipher, it seems like you're having. tough time. Well, me too. Hug?
