Crucible Immunity??

Saw this in Crimson Doubles couple days ago. Whole match was like that for all weapons, including my Judith-D, even when I started spacing my shot to ensure accuracy at close range. The only damaging shot I landed was from my handcannon against this guys' warlock partner when he being revived (damage was immediate) and that was it, since I almost always found the hunter first each round. And even though I couldn't shoot the hunter, he could still shoot me, and killed me every round. My ally seemed to be unaffected, as he was able to put damage on this individual throughout the match, but he was essentially forced to deal with both players at the same time, since I was either dead by hunter or shooting nerf darts at him. Can anyone explain what happened? Bug or something else? Weapons used by me were Judith-D Handcannon and Tamar-D Sniper Rifle, if it matters. Edit: Since most replies are questioning my connection, my connection was good (no issues) up to that match and again right after. And as stated above, this immunity only applied to the hunter, the warlock took immediate full damage when I hit him the one chance I got. I've seen redbar matches cause delayed damage before (5-6 steps before it counts), but I have never seen it completely remove all damage against a single target. The general flow of the match was also smooth, other than that one slight jump by the hunter in the second clip after I died, there wasn't any other jumping/teleporting typically associated with bad connections. Another detail I should probably note is the general behavior: the hunter always took point despite the super-armored warlock behind him, never used a special weapon, and always targeted me first unless I wasn't in the room (before you say it was because I had low health like in the second clip, it happened in every firefight throughout the match, regardless of health or positioning). Extra Edit: Some have now brought up the Damage Ref news quotes for reasons why I couldn't do damage. Keep in mind that the Damage Ref is currently only active in Control match types.

Remember Damage Control? Yeah, Bungie implemented so red bars, like yourself, would not benefit from having a bad connection. Maybe you're stuck with it, maybe you're using a lag switch; only your ISP knows for sure. Edit: Damage *Referee.
What will happen (again, in theory), if my connection is bad? Paul: If your connection is bad, we'll be giving you even more reasons to improve it. Expect to lose fights a lot more often, even if you think you shot first or escaped behind cover in time. Things will get much better once you fix your connection, but at least you'll receive fewer angry messages in the meantime.
