Now you may be thinking this kid is out of his damn mind, you are right for now til the sun-breakers remains the OP Boss it is #TitanMasterRACE but I asked myself what will be the next big thing I mean I am sure in destiny if one goes down another rises, there is no balance IMO. Storm trance get both Transcendence and ionic blink. Before nerfs occur I am hopefully going to conduct experiments in my spare time. But with Ionic blink and transcendence you get more coverage and super time than the titans. Which means more kills can happen with storm trance than sunbreaker ever wished to have, you may be saying the titans also had more damage reduction and health regeneration. You are right they do, but the stormtrance have blink which is better that year 1 blink and have the natural ability to chain to 3 people at a time. So as much all three of you are putting damage on the warlock, the warlock is killing all three of you anyway at the same time, so not only the ionic blink would confuse the opponent your ability can kill three at a time, and it stays for a long time and can travel far baring you have both melee and grenade energy when you use your super. So this begs the question. What do you think is going to be the next most overpowered super after the December nerfs? I think it's stormtrance Please vote so we can decide if it's something we should look into before the patch comes. EDIT: 579 people voted so far Storm trace leads by %52 Second is golden gun by %14.33 Third is sunbreaker by %12.43 Pretty crazy lead for storm trance keep voting guys! • There's two things that set Stormtrance aside though. First is that while, yes, the lightning does chain, you have to be close to your opponent for it to arc to them. Not as close as Bladedance, but closer than a Fist of Havok with Shockwave. Also, if you're too close it won't automatically target someone just because you're holding the fire button. If they see you coming, all it takes is a rocket, machine gun, or super to knock you out of it. If you telegraph too much, and charge straight ahead at them, even a Scout or Pulse can do it. Blink does provide the ability to confuse the enemy, but no more or less than a Bladedancer's invisibility. Perhaps it could be tweaked slightly to consume a bit of your duration for movement speed though. Secondly, it's not Perpetual Charge that you're thinking of. That one gives to grenade energy for melee kills and vice-versa. The ability in question is Transcendence. On paper, it seems overpowered, but it can be ... Twitchy. There have been times that I was killed the moment I popped my Super, despite supposedly getting full health (probably some sort of lag, but I'm unsure. Might just be a programmed delay.) Also, I think you overestimate just how difficult it is to hold on to both your Melee and Grenade for the sake of your Super. Perhaps it's just me, but if someone gets right in my face, and I don't have a shotgun, my first instinct is to throw a melee. And there's plenty of opportunities you could miss if you refuse to throw that Arc Bolt grenade around the corner for the sake of your Super. And can you imagine having the perfect opportunity to use a Stormtrance, but holding off just because your melee and/or grenade aren't fully charged? It's a situational ability at best. Overpowered when everything is in your favor, but you may as well not even have it if everything isn't.
