I am someone who despises skipping through content and running past enemies. I usually just let those who run ahead do so and I stay behind and actually PLAY the content the way it was meant to be played. With TTK on the way and already seeing that Fruit guy try to run past everything I am afraid that the Rushers are just going to keep lazily skipping the content despite the fact that its new. I want to be able to ENJOY what I paid for.
However this new teleport function kind of leaves players who don't like to run ahead stuck with being FORCED to skip content.
What if I was a new player trying a strike for the first time? I wouldn't be able to enjoy ANY of it. I would just be sprinting through the whole thing or just keep being teleported through the entire thing.
I payed for the content in order to PLAY it not skip through entire sections of it. I want to be able to play the content how I wanna play it. If they wanna run ahead thats fine, but if we don't want to run ahead and skip content we should not be FORCED to.
This new function takes away my right to play the game how I want to and FORCES me to rush through content that I would otherwise like to play.
So Deej or Cozmo...is there any way to avoid being teleported forward or am I really gonna be forced to skip the content that I payed for?
Please bump if you also are curious about this.
Edit: From BlackPlasma217 and I agree 100%
I say that should just be an option. Like they should put that in right under "Wear helmets in social spaces." It's a good idea.
Do your first run through with friends or by yourself , problem solved

Edited by NobodyJustBrad: 8/28/2015 1:13:34 PMBe an option? The whole reason they put it there is to encourage AFK players to play. Do you frequently go AFK and don't want to die in your strike? Simply turn off the mechanic we set in place to counter it! :D Genius!

Edited by USS Liberty: 8/28/2015 12:49:48 PMI've done every strike a million times, I want to finish them fast. Were you around during the days of pre-dlc? Running the same few strikes over, and over, and over again? Being stuck at 29 no matter how many times you ran the VoG? Running through the same stuff and stopping for every enemy turns something that could hopefully be 10 mins long into a 30 min chore. Just find people like yourself that actually want to run through and kill everything and scan things and "ooh" and "ahh".

Solution: play with like-minded players who don't rush ahead.

I want to be able to scan with my ghost while other people aren't running ahead of me

Just stay still and move every no and again so you can be sent to orbit every time they skip ahead.

I agree

Get a fireteam together so you can pick daisies and have a picnic after wasting time killing the pointless trash mobs. problem solved Oh, and you know what?
strikes are suppose to quick
