Solution: play with like-minded players who don't rush ahead.

I shouldn't have to go to the forums and find a squad everytime I play a simple strike. If you want to run ahead then go for it. However I should not be forced to skip the content that I paid for.

That wasn't what I said. Here's your problem: you're holding back those other two players who want to finish the strike, thereby encouraging them to come on the forums and create whining threads. Find solid friends who want to take the strike slow and who match your playstyle. Whether you find them here or elsewhere is irrelevant.

If my two buddies are on then sure I completely agree. However randoms running ahead are affecting MY enjoyment as much as me wanting to stay behind is affect THEIRS. Why should their enjoyment be more important than mine?
If my two buddies are on then sure I completely agree. However randoms running ahead are affecting MY enjoyment as much as me wanting to stay behind is affect THEIRS. Why should their enjoyment be more important than mine?
For one, you are negatively impacting TWO players whereas you are only ONE player. So simple logic suggests that their enjoyment actually is more important than yours. Secondly, get more friends.

Not many friends of mine actually PLAY Destiny anymore. They quit because they couldn't handle how bad it is. I think I will just do what I have been doing if I am forced to skip. If they teleport me ahead then I will simply shut down and stop shooting. They were so eager to move on without me lets see how much time they save when they are forced to 2 man it.

To be honest, if you were being left behind, I'm sure most players would do just fine with or without your assistance. They're just Strikes. My suggestion would be to simply leave the Strike. Then you could continue playing the game rather than sitting around doing nothing like an asshat and possibly getting reported.
