1. There are good games out there without extreme stupidness or a complete desolation of a story or characters.
2. Try playing those awesome games.
Not trying to antagonize, but anyone who has followed Bungie for longer than Destiny was expecting an opus magnum, Destiny is not that.
In spite of developing interesting new playing ideas, its gorgeous Bungiesque art style and music, it is not a game I want to write home about. The dismal storytelling/ delivery and complete absence of emotions was surprising.

Why? Because halo was so awsome? Such an over rated game it's not even funny. Destiny shits on halo. Tell me this after the first halo did you have any idea what was going on? They made books and movies to explain everything just like what will happen with destiny.

Yes. There was a clear plot, defined characters and most importantly, emotional ties with the protagonists with a feeling of being completely immerse in their world. Couldn't wait for Halo 2 ;) All these elements are missing in Destiny. Halo and Destiny are two completely different game styles, but in spite of its episodic narrative, Destiny could have featured a good script, developed characters as well as a coherent story.

1. yes there are and "extreme stupidness or a complete desolation of a story or characters" is a bit extreme... its not like this is ride to hell: retribution. 2. i have, they are good, but that argument is about as usefull as a wet match in a dark cave. just because other games are good doesn't mean people can't like destiny. for someone not trying to antagonize you where being rather antagonistic, for lack of better phrasing, there. as far as expecting a opus magnum, if i have seen anything at all these past 6-ish years, its that people have no ability to temper expectations, heaven help us when half life 3 actually comes out, the over reaction and hate may actually cause the internet itself to spontaneously combust and i'll agree it was lacking a good bit in the actual delivery of the story and that none of the characters have much "emotion", its still a good game. but thats just my opinion. like i said before, it boils own to peronal opinion, and the dislike of a story doesn't mean it isn't there. i would say not many people complain this hard about CoD's story but from what i can gather playing CoD for the story is like watching a michael bay movie for the good directing.

Did not direct stupidness at Destiny, but to other games with no story you mentioned. There are many bad games out there. Destiny is not a bad game. Bungie pre release promotional campaign featured some delusions of grandeur, most of the hype was created before launch, by the creators themselves... People are louder voicing disappointment than in many other gaming community, because they care. Many of us have loved Bungie long before some of the guardians playing were born...

Edited by Mar: 2/6/2015 4:55:52 AMagreed, and sorry, didn't know where that that particular comment was direct, just assumed it was about destiny, my bad. glad to see some people out there are still willing to be civil about stuff and not just derail all conversations to troll / waste time and be annoying or instantly go to spouting threats and hate for no reasons, /salute to you sir. and they can care about it, thats fine, wish they would tone it down to normal levels and get out of the "raving hate filled psycho" levels of raging, not you but ya know... some of the other people in the forums.
