There were times I'm your first video it took you half a mag to kill someone with all headshots, if the level of your gun didn't matter you would have killed them much faster but because it's a level 1 gun the damage was minimal. Just because you are a level 4 doesn't mean you can't do damage to level 28+ because then iron banner couldn't be enjoyed by everyone. They made it to where there is a slight advantage based on armor and weapon strength but not to the point where a lower level 20 still couldn't do well.

They should make the Vault of Glass accessible to level fours, otherwise it can't be enjoyed by everyone.

Hi yea sorry that's bullshit my suros sometimes takes half a clip to kill people sooooooooooo yea iron banner should be ridiculously unfair screw fairness this isn't for everyone if you aren't in the best gear with the best weapons you should die hell if you aren't even 21 you shouldn't be able to touch Me I should be able to breathe and you die that was the whole point of this event that's what we expected but what we got was more rehashed content that actually does nothing but give us some new cosmetics
-
I'm sorry but if you take half a mag to kill with suros then you are garbage. It has 2 damage buffs, one for ads and one for bottom half of the mag. Not to mention it's like a laser and that when you do damage with it you start to regen your health. Sorry you need an op gun to do some work in PvP. And like I've said in most of the replies, armor and damage do matter but not to the point where it makes it unplayable for low levels. I was playing a little bit ago and everyone was running through a level 10 that was there because he didn't realize that headshots matter. But yea rehashed content isn't something new. Call of duty does it, they take maps from campaign and use them for multiplayer instead if making new maps. And not to mention every call of duty/ battlefield is just a reskinned copy of the previous years game. Destiny is a first person shooter with RPG/MMO elements so what did you really expect? And you want more than a 10 hour campaign too don't you? We'll go play skyrim or oblivion because not many modern games have a campaign that's very long. Want some backstory too? Put forth some effort and go collect the ghosts and READ about it instead of it just being handed to you. How about you realize that no game in the past 10 years have lived up to all the promises and prerelease hype. I might be part of a minority but I think the game is great, bungie created an amazing world that can be expanded on, not many games out there have a 10 year time slot to be expanded on because usually a new one is churned out every Christmas time.
-
No game in 10 years? Not one? I can name numerous. I'll just name one though because you seem to be upset. Witcher. Of course CDProjekt Red is an amazing studio, too. Their extreme success is likely due to their not being American, though. Far less greed and rehash, I've noticed, from non-US companies.
-
It's was an obvious exaggeration, and I'm only aggrivated because the forums are filled with people just bashing bungie for lying about this and not doing that. It's sad when people don't realize that a lot of the games they own and might even love have the same flaws that this game has. But what they don't realize about it is that bungie actually gets into the forums and looks for feedback to make the game better, they plan on expanding it. Not many game companies do that any more, most of the companies that make fps games just update a few issues for connection problems and to fix a few exploits. (Don't count battlefield in that statement because their updates cover everything) it's just sad to think that destiny may not be what it could be because everyone stops playing within the first month or two because they "didn't get what they were promised" and bungie doesn't get the time to really expand the game.
-
Lack of proper response from the actual devs and hashed as -blam!- responses from Deej, carefully crafted at that, is the reason people are upset. They just don't understand how to say that. Also, if your exaggeration was so obvious, it wouldn't have been missed.
-
Your whole argument failed the second you told me to go read about it instead of it just being in the actual game itself do you want to go pay for a movie sit watch random bits and pieces of that movie not understand a dam thing but oh wait they gave you a book explaining all the back story yea no that sounds awful if I want a book I'll get a book I paid for a game with a story they gave me this beautiful disaster
-
Just so you know the fact that this level four is killing people with a level one gun in iron banner is absolutely absurd, his gun does 4 more damage than my fully maxed hard light, you don't think there's a problem there? You sir, are sorely mistaken.
-
The fact that you think that a game mode is going to be created for just level 30s is rediculous beyond belief. Why would a developer create a game mode where only a select few lucky people who got raid gear will do well? That makes no sense, there has to be some balance otherwise most people wouldn't play it. Not to mention in the 1st video the only way he was killing the people was by having another person shooting with him or buy running into someone who was garbage. Yea iron banner really isn't made for low levels, but there has to be some balance. For example if titans defense mattered 100 percent they would be a pain to kill, but they only factor everything marginally. Sorry for the long reply too, it's easier to explain an opinion with more words :P
-
Why not make a game mode for people who have stood by the game since release and maxed their gear out by completing raids and so on? I thought like everyone else did that iron banner would be for those who have earned their right of power to compete against others who have completed the same. You sir have a point but don't neglect the fact that others have opinions on this matter also, I believed iron banner to be the saving grace of destiny, I thought my lvl 29 warlock, my Vex Mythoclast and my pure skill could put me in an arena with others of the same skill, armour, dedication and time spent kick in Atheons Ass on hard mode and any chumps who haven't would feel the wrath of that force but no we have what this author describes perfectly a broken piece of shit update worthless to any man who has completed the Raid on hard and has maxed out their gear.

Edited by Chicken run: 10/10/2014 2:11:52 PMyeah, when destiny came out i first thought i need hurry up and level all my stuff for iron banner and just before i started i dismatled my besy primary and thought oh shit now i lost my best gun im always going to need to use my sniper rifle and turns out i was wrong

Oh I completely understand where you are coming from. I've spent every possible moment playing this game to the point where I only get like 5ish hours of sleep a night. My thinking on iron banner is that they worded it wrong, they put to much emphasis on how much the armor and weapons are actually going to affect it and that's why everyone is so mad about it. I've done the raid, strikes, bounties you name it multiple times and put my hunter through the ringer and back. But I think they shouldn't have put so much focus on how much yor armor affects things when it really doesn't. I do think they should have waited a little while before doing iron banner though. They should have balanced the weapons a little better (suros in my opinion is a little game breaking for PvP), fixed the reward system for crucible, and done a few other tweaks before releasing us to the iron banner so it would be more focus on skill and a little bit of your gear than what the game is now. I love the game and if I could put a ring on it I would, but I'm really looking forward to some changes in the future :P

the iron banner isnt for everyone its supposed to be for the higher level guys not for level 4 s thats why the crucible is there
