I don't think the people saying their pet would do it in the heat of the moment. Not to mention the looks from bystanders if there are any, but what do you tell 911 (since I'm assuming you are alone)? Help, I saved my dog but there is still a person in the water? What happens when a family in grief starts attacking you? Just sayin'
