Let's say...
You're standing on a dock that sits over a lake.
You see your pet and a stranger drowning, your pet on the left and the stranger on the right. They are both the same distance away from you.
You only have time to save one, so you must choose. There's absolutely no way to save both of them.
So who would you save?

Pet. Easy choice. I love my pets, but i'm rather indifferent towards humanity.
-
Pet. I'm responsible for my dog's well being, I'm not responsible for the actions of other people.
-
Obviously the person, I sure hope my fish doesn't drown though.
-
Who do you think?
-
What if you have a pet fish?
what if you don't have any pets at all?
-
I would save my pet over my sister.
-
My pet of course
-
I would love to save my pet.. But human life has more meaning then a dogs. I know that sounds bad, but humans live longer, have families and make a bigger impact. So as much as it pains me to think about it, I would have to save the stranger
-
I would want to save my pet but I recognize the conscious thought of a stranger. So I would save the stranger.
-
Who the -blam!- wouldn't save the person? I'm sorry Boomer, but I've got to save a life here.

*pets

It is for this very reason that I do not own pets. I found it funny that some people in another questionnaire answered that they thought starving animals were worse than starving children. As if those people would rather feed their pet than their child.

Because it was a bad gameplay mechanic meant to counteract estus complainers.
-
This would've been an awesome bait thread, nobody would expect it to be, yet people still get upset over the opinions of others.

The replies in this thread sicken me I honestly expected more from you guys Does human life really mean that little to you? And for all of you saying "I love my pet. It's a part of my family" You're very selfish You're only saving the pet so that you don't suffer You're basically saying "Fuck the stranger's family, I don't want to feel sad" Sometimes, you have to let it go and do what's right And really, imagine you're drowning It'd be pretty weird to see someone swimming over to their dog instead of you Or imagine it was your sister in the water You'd be pretty mad at the asshole who chose to save his dog instead of your sister If anyone says "I'd understand" then I'm calling bullshit on them Either that or you don't value your family as much as anyone should Also, in the heat of the moment, would you really save your dog? Could you really ignore the desperate screams and pleas of someone trying to survive? I don't think so
-
I have a fish, so he can't drown... Pick the person and set the fish free!
-
My pet
-
But my pet megaladon can swim. Plus the lake would be his home. I value human life, but that dude is F*cked!
-
Edited by Ghost MDFR: 8/29/2014 12:40:37 PMPlot twist. You save the stranger, then he turns around and sues you for an injury he sustained during the rescue..,, Yea, I'd save my dog.
-
Pet.... All day...
-
How is my fish drowning? So I'll save the stranger and pick my fish up afterwards
-
I'd be Spider-Man and try to save both but accidentally break my dogs neck. Whoops.
-
I would gladly let the stranger die to save my dog, statistically the guy was probably an asshole
