What makes you think just because it has always gone that way, that it should go that way now too? Destiny is something new, a project. So let it be a project and see what they come up with. No, they shouldn't transfer all the items into the new expansion. BUT they should offer an upgrade path(A long and difficult one). Most exotics offer something unique, that reinforces differing play styles. They add to the game. Take them away, and you're limiting the game instead of expanding. Though I'd like to start anew as well, they shouldn't limit anything in this already restricted setting. If they're going to add the upgrade paths, I hope they hold it until 1 month before the first DLC.

  • Ever thought about why other games do this? I mean they don't have to create new guns and let people use their old guns, its the best option for them . It's because You will get bored of it, I am already tired of using fatebringer, blackhammer and ghorn for every serious pve gameplay, if I am not using them, I am basically handicapping my team.

  • Read my post again, you'll notice I'm only talking about the exotics that offer play styles a worthwhile reinforcement. I could care less about all the other weapons, especially the power weapons. If you had actually read and comprehended my post, you'd have noticed I'm all for starting anew. But not if it means having part of the fun and variation taken away from this already narrow game.
