You mean other than the fact that people would have no reason to go out and grind for the new gear or invest even more time into the game because they are already satisfied with what they have? You really think Bungie is gonna let us do something that could possibly decrease our playtime or their player count? Really?

Sort of defeats the point of a loot-based game if everyone just keeps using the same loot.
