I think the old guns will retain a system like etheric light, but I think the newer weapons will be more useful for the new content. In either case it'd be nice if they'd at least allow for cosmetic overwrite on legendaries so the new stuff can be made to look like the older gear if you like the way it looks. I don't want to go back to everyone wearing the current raid gear again.
