The problem here is that we are being [b]forced[/b].
These new guns are (as of yet) pathetic. They don't make me want to move on.
Why should I swap from my epic fatebringer to a six dreg pride with... wait for it... dreg burn!
If the perks were better, I'd be all for it. However, fb has much better perks than most pve handcannons.
Same goes for black hammer vs other pve snipers (well atleast before the patch rolls in)

Yes you are being forced. Because thats how Progression works. When new content is released you play the new content. That includes the gear. Every expansion since the dawn of time has worked this way.

Yeah? Guess what this stubborn community needs to be forced, the fact people did hard crota with fate bringer and not a 331 is because they are to stubborn to move on. Like it or not Bungie needed to do something

They need to make better weapons to pull us away from our current ones. They havent done that yet. If they make better weapons, not just a higher damage cap, then i will gladly scrap all of my current weapons.

And think of the noobs, not only does making old items obsolete it also renders the activity associated with those items obsolete, and we all know Destiny isn't exactly chock full of so many various endgame activities to choose from.

It sucks to say that the VoG, the intro to raiding and the best raid to date (pve activity for that matter) is going to have useless gear and useless rewards and useless mats seeing as how vendor gear is better and always will be than any raid released as of yet.

And it's true, VoG is one of the top three gaming experiences I've had in the past 10 years!

I was really hoping bungie would have multiple raids released like trials. Only available during a certain time frame. This would surge player time, and decrease the feel of unreplayable content. Yes raids are huge and take time, but it'd be nice if they delayed release and had a few more raids.

Say there is ascension/upgrading of older items in TTK, not only will I really enjoy taking noobs thru the Vault, but I can still have extra satisfaction I staying on the hunt for that elusive Praetorian Foil....as an example: when TDB sunk in and became apparent that VoG items were not going to cut it, I all but quit doing VoG, but after HoW, I am Right back to running 1-3 Hard VoG a week for that chance!

This is the post I see and want trading in game. I went in hoping for a FB. I have no interest in fusion rifles and would gladly pass my PF on to someone who wants it and would value it.

The new guns haven't been released yet. You aren't being forced to do anything yet, you're kind of arguing a point there not even there. Nobody is talking about the current situation. Talking about the next situation.
