It's a pretty statement, but it makes more sense if you're a politician trying to fix the economy. But I don't see how it relates to game development. Does a street fighter game have to abandon old characters to add new ones? Of course not!

Except that is a fighting game and this is a FPS RPG. Two completely different concepts with completely different priorities.
