A good idea my brother had (I think he came up with it) is day 1 players should get a discount code which they can redeem when buying the CE at release. So it could take off $30 for instance so we don't pay full price for what we already have.
Or you could just sell the physical copy of destiny with the 2 expansions to someone.

The code is an interesting idea... Good luck at re-selling a game even bungie is only valuing at $20 which doesn't include the flooded market and lower re-sale value already on it.

A new copy of destiny is what? $40 then getting the year 1 dlc is another 35. You'd probably be able to find someone on kijiji or Craigslist that would buy the game+dlc for $40-50.
