Qui-Gon then followed closely by Obi-Wan. They used thier heads. They understood emotions and how to deal with them. That's why Jedi fell to the dark side. They would experience these feelings and have no clue how to deal with them. They felt awful for feeling these "dark" feelings because their whole lives they were taught those were bad, and a path to damnation. They were never taught how to deal with them, only how to hopefully avoid them.
