Hello and a question
Hello all, just wanted to say thanks for the great content. I just received TTK Legendary edition for Xmas and your podcast has been a great way to familiarize myself with the game. A quick question, what resources are worth stockpiling now and which are worth spending now to aid with the leveling process?

strange coins, legendary marks, and motes. most everything else is easily obtained

Hey Lucky! Welcome to the DRPfam! You just received such an awesome Christmas present. Such a great time to start playing Destiny. It may sound like I am talking them up, but the DRPfam is also quite the community to stumble upon. Such an awesome group of guardians! holdincourt is right, you will get them as you play, but I would conserve your weapon parts and motes as you level. Don't use too many of any material as you level. Wait till you hit max level and have higher end game gear before spending them. Go back and listen to some of our old TTK episodes for some more info. Of course some of it may be outdated with updates releasing and stuff, but a lot should still be relevant. Thanks again and take care!

Simple answer is all of them (maybe minus wormspore), but you will be building them up somewhat naturally through your play through.
