Clan question

Ok so I got the message that I accepted so how do you go from follower to member I play both raids every week and obviously run the nightfall and heroic strikes every week. also what do you do with the clan tag and what not. Mostly I have played only through LFG and forums so it would be nice to have a more regular group.
