Bandits, Husk of the pit is out there. All you gotta do is go get it. It'll upgrade to Eidolon Ally (legendary) and eventually to necrocasm (exotic) after the hard Crota raid drops. You'll be required to defeat Crota on hard in order to obtain the last upgrade material. Honestly, I'll likely keep one legendary and eventually do one as exotic. The Eidolon Ally has stats similar to atheons epilogue but higher max damage and seems to be a bit better in the stability department. It's a bad ass looking weapon as well. The husk is a rare random drop from a hive sword bearer anywhere on the moon or earth which is where I got mine. It drops directly to you inventory and pops up like a raid drop. There is no engram. The easiest way is to fire up the New Fist of Croat mission. Hop on your speeder bike and whiz past the mobs into the building. You'll find a typical jive ritual taking place. Smoke the sword bearer. If the husk doesn't drop, rinse and repeat. It has taken no more than 6 tries using this method according to reports online. Once you have your husk, you'll need to kill 500 hive in order to convert it as well as the embalming orb from Eris once you hit rep level 3. (See previous post regarding the double bounty glitch) Now, the best spot to play with this new toy and to get those 500 kills is the Dark Beyond:Chamber of night. It's where you first meet that smokin hot Exo chick. After hollerin at cha girl, the door opens and the hive pour out like Black Friday shoppers at walmart. I suggest doing it on easy because the husk is weak as hell. A Titan would want to run defender with the lightening reload perk activated on ward of dawn. Weapons of light makes it easier too. Drop a bubble, get the buff, empty a clip, smack one, get re over shield and fast reload and hose em down. Mine is leveled. All I need is the level 3 rep with our girl Eris and I'll have the legendary auto rifle I've been pining for. The Vangaurd sure as shit hasn't been kind enough to give me one after 7 commendations and the auto rifle offering at the quartermaster are shit, I wish like hell I had never scrapped shadow price. It's replacement at the Vangaurd is a pile of elephant shit marinated in garbage water. Happy hunting Bandits and hit me up tonight if you'd like to do the double bounty glitch.
