Story of the Lonesome Three: Chapter 4

Once the Fire team reached the hangar, and had entered the front door, Jayce said ‘Look for the stairs. we’ll split up to cover more ground. just yell if you find anything.” So Jayce went straight down the hallway, and Zic and Janna went opposite ways through exits from the lobby. After about five minutes of searching Jayce came to a huge room, it was dim and could only make out the shapes of things. He saw a huge object in the middle of the floor that was covered in a tarp, he walked up to it and uncovered it. It was a spaceship. It was made by Dead Orbit and looked like it had never been flown. “Hey guys! I found something!” It took a while but they both soon arrived. Zic turned on his light and started examining the craft. Jayce helped Janna up onto the ship and she got in. She tried starting it but it only made a metal-on-metal sound. She hopped out and said that it had no gas and she was pretty sure that the battery was dead. So the first find gave them hope. Janna said she had found the stair when Jayce had called and didn’t get the chance to yell. So they all followed her to the stairs. Once they reached the concrete stairs Jayce looked up, he saw-well he just saw alot of stars. So they began climbing, they had to actually sleep on the stairs for one night but made it to the top the next day. “Aww man, just like the other day huh Zic?” Zic nodded in agreement. Janna decided to not ask any question about it, and to just leave it at that. “So Janna… How did the ship get shot down?” “The one in the hangar had nev-” “No I mean our ship, the one that everyone was in…” I’m not actually sure, but I am sure it was the Vex’s doing.” They had been walking for a while down a hallway with glass walls so they could see all the way down to where the entrance was. It was a clear day so they could actually see just about the whole city. When the hallway ended they heard voices. “Can you get is started?” It was definitely a human “No, and if you’re going to keep asking I’ll let YOU do it.” Replied a cold raspy voice. “Come on guys stop arguing, I’m sure the Vex didn’t lose our trail.” The voice sounded like an awoken. Jayce peered around the corner and saw the oddest looking Fire Team. They were working on another ship only this one was not Dead Orbit, it was an odd symbol that looked oddly familiar to Jayce. He had guessed that there was a human and an awoken but, the third voice was a mystery until he saw him. It used to be a human, but it was dead. It was not an awoken either, but it was a deteriorating human with the skin peeling off of his face and hands. Under the skin was blackness, Jayce didn’t think it was possible, but the man, no, the thing, was a Hive. Jayce motioned for Janna and Zic to look, but Janna tripped and fell into the room. The Fire Team turned and saw Janna only, Jayce and Zic were still around the corner. “Well, well, well. What have we here?” Asked the Hive, Janna stared at him in disgust.The others only waited to see what the Hive did. He slowly walked towards her and once he reached her he grabbed her arm started unbuckling his belt. “I’ll be right back.” he rounded the corner that Jayce and Zic were at and Zic shot the Hive in the forehead. The Hive just smiled. “Oh, hello.” He threw Janna at them and pulled out his pistol, Jayce threw his Hunters Knife at the Hive and knocked the pistol out of his hand. He ran out to his Fire Team and yelled “It’s not Vex boys. Its another Team.” Then the Fire Team pulled out their weapons and began firing. Jayce and Zic were shooting back, and Janna was working up a Nova Bomb. “Janna, I don’t think we should bomb them, they have another ship and I think that this one will be able to fly. We NEED it. Please just shoot them.” jayce pleaded. Janna put down her hands disappointedly and began shooting at the enemy team. Jayce signaled for them to stop firing and they all stood backs against the wall. “We need a plan of attack, because shooting them obviously isn’t working out so well. Also i don’t know how we are supposed to kill their Hive member.” Jayce said. So they worked out a plan and then Janna jumped out of one of the glass walls in the hallway. She soon floated back up and started circling the building to around where the Fire Team was, except on the outside of the building, The Jayce teleported to the other side of the room behind cover. The Fire Team had no idea where any of them were except for Zic. “Hey! Where did they-” Janna then blew a hole in the wall with a Nova Bomb and Jayce began firing at them. Zic was also firing but from their original vantage point. They soon were all dead except for the Hive who had several bullet holes in him but just could not die. Janna flew in and knocked him off of the plane he was standing on and Jayce dashed in and electrified him with his Hunters knife. Zic charged in and Havocked him. His remains splattered everywhere. They had killed the dead. Janna started the ship with ease, the Hive had done most of the work that needed to be done. She lowered the ramp, and Jayce and Zic climbed aboard the Vex War Ship.
