The short of the light levels: Pre-Expansion Legendary = 27 VOG Lengendary = 30 Pre-Expansion Exotic = 30 Dark Below Legendary = 33 Crota's End Legendary = 36 Dark Below Exotic = 36 Level 30 = 120 Level 31 = 132 Level 32 = 144 Just add up the light level of your gear to see where you will be or need to be.
