Completing the Pocket Infinity Bounty

Trying to solo the Weekly Nightfall turned out to be a...well, failure. I am at the stage of needing 200 Fusion Rifle kills in a weekly nightfall to get my greedy little hands on the pocket infinity. If anyone has a few free minutes to spend shooting stuff while I kill things with murmur, I would greatly appreciate it... F_S_FPS, PS3, Central Time...

  • I took me 2 days to finish mine, if you have the vex just got around shooting stuff, and have a secondary fusion rifle, makes it really easy

  • I see a few mentions of this, kinda. So I'll reiterate. First, you don't need to be in the strike area to get the kills. All you need to do is kill enemies in "instanced" or areas that were "darkness zones" during missions. The hangar between the steppes and the divide for example. You'll know you're in the right place when the enemies are level 30. When you go down to the nightfall, just head to any of those other mission areas and kill the level 30 enemies. It works with any nightfall on any planet. If you run out of enemies, just go to orbit and come down again. If you do happen to die (when you don't want to) you won't be kicked to orbit. That made the quest take a little longer than the first time I did it (Phogoth), but it was very easy.

  • I solo'd it on the omnigul strike a few weeks ago. Having the invis perks for blade dancer helps a lot. Hang out in the first room at the top of the stairs with arc on murmur, then pop out and get one kill before running back to the stairwell. Once the shanks pop run all the way down to the first level and switch to solar. After you kill the shanks, the stealth vandals are going to pop. They will one hit KO you so use a heavy machine gun or rocket launcher on them. After they are down the thrall will start spawning. This is a great chance to rack up kills with a fusion rifle. If you do all of this you should be able to knock out 40-50 fusion kills per run. Repeat until you have your 200.

Found this on a forum post "When you spawn on the road when you load up the Nightfall, turn around and cross the Forgotten Shore until you get to the hive area beyond it. There will be 2 lvl 30 dregs and then a bunch of hive mobs, and that's how you know you're there. Kill them with a fusion rifle, and then continue on, killing everything in your path. You'll end up underground, and go through the Grottos on your way over to the Sepiks Prime strike area... Everything you kill in there counts for the bounty. Once you come out in the Rocketyard, you can go to orbit and do it again. If you die, you'll respawn right there, and won't have to worry about the Nightfall kicking you to orbit. Solar burn is still in play, so break out the Murmur for easy mode. Juggler is also in play, so carry some Special Ammo synths, or leave the private area and kill a bunch of mobs to get green ammo drops". Basically instead of starting the nightfall mission, turn around and go all the way behind you, past all the ships and follow the rear path around until you see the two dregs. Kill everything in all areas with level 30 enemies and after your run you should have about 60 or so kills. Go to orbit and restart.

        • You can finish it fairly easily. Just go into areas of the world that are instanced to your level/Nightfall level and the kills will still count for it.

          • You can "back door" it. Instead of going into the strike, go to somewhere where a story mission would start. All the enemies will be 30 but if you die you don't get kicked to orbit.

            • I did it over a couple or three weeks, didn't really grind it out. Thing is, I had a bunch of other weapons I was trying to level so I wasn't really in a rush to get it.

            • hey i just finished this bounty. instead of running the actual nightfall, hop on your sparrow and go to the building where you start the devil's lair strike. the adds in there are lvl 30 and count toward the bounty. i went all the way to the walker and the adds were still 30 there. if you die, you will respawn on the spot as well (rather than being kicked to orbit). the modifiers still apply as well. you can also hit up the lunar complex building (in the mothyards), and the room where the target bounty always is in the divide area as well. good luck

            • It might be easier to wait for a better nightfall next Tuesday if they add any burns that are advantageous to you and it's an easier strike to grind in
