Worst thing that's happened to your gaming devices?

We drop them, we scratch them. We break them, we smash them. And most of the time it's an accident. But which of those times have been the worst for you? I remember my first DS. I had it in my jacket pocket and I was running home after school to unload the tinkle I had been holding on the bus ride back. I didn't think to take my jacket off, so it fell out of my pocket and into the toilet >.>

Most recently, the Red Ring of Death to my Xbox 360. Let me also tell you a tale from the age of gaming cartridges: Back in the days of the N64, little kid me liked using a GameShark. The N64 was on the floor for some reason. One of my parents needed to climb over the gaming area and for some reason stepped on the Super Mario 64 cartridge while it was inserted into the GameShark cartridge. Mario 64 got stuck in the GameShark, and part of it broke off when we tried to take it out. But the most devastating incident to date occurred when I was reorganizing my computer desk. I had carelessly placed some stuff on the floor to move later. My mother, in her gross negligence, allowed two puppies to enter the room when I was at school. My Halo PC disc was torn into several pieces. One of my favorite pieces of Halo history, ruined forever :'(

      • For me? When I was little I got a Sega Dreamcast for Christmas. I loved playing Sonic Adventure and Vigilante 8 on it for the week I had it. Well, I also had a dog. That dog happened to be chewing on my controller cord while I was playing. I didn't notice until it was to late. While playing Vigilante, the game suddenly froze. I tried restarting the game, but to no avail. The thing wouldn't even start up. So I called my dad into the room about it. He looked over the console for a short moment, then noticed the dog eating the controller cord. He had eaten all the way through rubber coating around the copper wiring and had been gnawing on said wiring. I was grief stricken, what was I to do without my brand new Sonic game which I had yet to finish? To this day, I still don't understand how a dog eating through the controller could fry a console(lack of electronic knowledge and all).

      • My old Xbox 360. It got RRoD, and we spent a month and a half ordering new parts so we could fix it. A friend of ours had tried it and it worked. I put Lost Planet platinum edition in for five minutes and the xbox shut down permanently. We had to pry the tray open and it killed the disc.

      • My PSP's screen broke when it fell into my bathtub. It was sitting on the ledge and that 8 inch drop did it in. My Sega Gamegear, however, is still kicking, and even has bite marks on it from my dog. Nothing can breach that impervious plastic shell.

      • OH MAN! Lol I have broke my ds but I managed to fix it by using super glue to fix the hinge. Soon though, the screen stopped working and we just repaired it because we still had warranty on my ds. It was a ds lite.

      • Game-boy Advance SP Reset my Pokemon Yellow and Pokemon Crystal just by a single tap against the cover. Man I was mad for days. Then like a year later my Game-boy Advance SP stopped working. So yeah my Game Boy ASP really went through the work with a lot of games as well as my childish self of handling it.
