Can use of the API interrupt an actual Destiny game

Hi, I have an app called Ishtar Commander that uses the API. It has over 50K downloads now, but I have had 2 odd emails that I had dismissed as coincidence. They claim that when using the app they start to get network errors in the actual Destiny game. Is that possible? It just strikes me as more likely they have a flaky wifi network or something.

  • On a side note, if you are cashing in a years worth of raid materials in-game and are spamming the exchange option, that can definitely boot you to orbit ;)

    • Yes, it is very unlikely that any amount of BNet API activity could affect their in-game status. We've done some pretty thorough investigating into claims of that nature when the API was first released, and never found any correlation. I cannot say with 100% guarantee that they are not related, but empirically it is very unlikely to be due to the use of your app or the API.
