Is there a way to know which version of Destiny an item is from?

Items from TTK have a specific logo on them. While items from HoW like the treasure key have another. Not on the icon themselves always, but when you hover over them in game and see the popup details view. Is there a property that holds which version of Destiny items are from?

  • No Roman numeral on the weapon or armor piece = original Destiny. Roman numeral I = the dark below. II is house of wolves The taken king emblem is... You guessed it.

    • Item sources have an expansion index which i believe is not properly returning the correct value at this point in time. The only definitive way at the moment would be to compare the database between versions. I unfortunately have only been collecting this information since the Dark Below :/
