Foundry Questions
1. [b]Is it possible to determine what foundry a weapon is from with the API?[/b] I know you can guess based on the available perks but I was hoping for a more concrete method.
2. [b]Do some weapon types not have a legendary gun from each foundry?[/b] I was going to include an example weapon of each type/foundry combo in my app Blacksmith but (for example) I can't find an Omolon Auto Rifle in the Armory/manifest.
3. [b]Are some weapons not from foundries at all?[/b] I had assumed all the new guns would be from one of the three foundries but guns like [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Armory/Detail?type=item&item=3582243849&itemname=Antipodal%20Hindsight]Antipodal Hindsight[/url] don't seem to fall into a particular foundry (it looks like Hakke but doesn't use the Hakke sights).

Aye, we currently don't provide any real/usable metadata about weapon Foundry origins - from a data perspective, it's merely a bit of story flavor but has no "real" data to back it up. Technically you could examine vendor item definitions on the Gunsmith, try to mine out his vendor sale items that are related to "Arms Day", associate their currencies with the relevant order items, and then that would give you a subset of item foundary info - but that'd only be for items given by Arms Day orders, which is a very (very) small subset of all of the weapons in the game. Far from complete from a flavor perspective. (An interesting side note, we have to do something similar to this on our end to populate the new Arms Day advisor, though we don't end up pivoting it on foundary - we just care about what you can end up buying with your acquired order(s))
