quite disturbing, ps4 for the win.
Well... on that note. We are welcoming all members who plan to play on the PlayStation 4.

I'm going to wait until E3. Numbers are all fine and good, but people banged on about how the PS3 had superior hardware and it didn't seem to make much difference. As long as xbox has good games that look pretty much the same as PS4 without having a pixel counter to tell me the difference I'll probably stick with xbox, the controllers are much more comfortable to use, so when (if) the games play pretty much identical on each console that's the only thing I really care about.

I'm tired of the people who say it all matters on the comfort of a controller. This just tells me that person is ignorant and a fanboy of a particular system. To me it matters about the hardware and developer support not a stupid controller.

I was already leaning towards PS4, and there were a lot of good points made. I think that it's still too early to call. E3 will be the deciding factor for most. (Expect those who are hardcore for one or the other) I'm watching the consoles, but more importantly ... Destiny!

My hefty old xbox [circa 2003] still runs like a charm, my newish 360 is working fine, and heck, even my old Atari 2600 still runs. I think that with the way the games industry has been trending, along with games in general, my response to the next [i] console[/i] generation maybe somewhat delayed. Although I'll probably update to keep pace with Destiny :3 ...

1 ReplyPersonally, I'm still on the fence. My major beef with the new Xbox is the lack of backwards capability, and planned obsolescence. While the PS4 won't be backwards compatible; it just seem like a burn from Microsoft to have all my previous purchases not accessible from the new system. And to be honest, the new xbox doesn't offer any new features that aren't currently accessible from another device like my cable box, or my blueray player. The only hesitation is, do I give money to Japan, or a USA company.. I tend to lean towards the latter. In all honesty, the major selling point for the PS4 is Destiny. It seems that Sony has been showing Destiny the much love that it deserves. I'm not sure if this is Activision's doing, or Bungie's, but if Bungie is standing firmly behind the PS4, I may soon find myself falling into those ranks..

I'm more excited for the PS4 than I am for the new Xbox one. It's like the Microsoft executives have two energy swords up their asses, and that's what's causing them to make such asinine decisions. It's like they decided to totally ignore what makes the Xbox 360 so successful(hint: it's not the casual "water cooler" crowd).

As it stands at the moment, I'll be going with PS4 Destiny. The One is... well, shit. But it's too early now to make a final decision. I need more info and E3 will be a deciding factor.

Yeah, I am going to buy both consoles (I know that right now, even with as shitty as Halo will keep turning, I can't not play it) but I'm probably going to be buying and playing games on the PS4. Odd, at the beginning of the last gen launch, I was pretty much a die-hard seXBox fan. Why did the XBoner have to be so disappointing?
