How do you Destiny?
With so many ways to play this came, I am just wondering how everyone decides to tackle it. Personally, I lay out some daily, weekly and longer term goals and then plug away at those each night.
For example, this is my plan for tonight
- Daily Heroic
- Gold Star an event
- PvE Bounties
- farm iron relic for armor upgrades
- Weekly Heroic (if there is time)
How do you play Destiny?

I don't really "plan" anything specific per se. I almost always start at the tower, browsing the available bounties, take any or all that I have room for that I can knock out quickly, and then rush off to get them done. I try to hit at least one public event as quick as I can as well. From there, it's kind of just a free-for-all that goes between patrolling, Daily/Weekly, Crucible, story missions, etc... Kind just go with the flow. I'm currently trying to level up both Vanguard and Crucible to rank 3 to get a couple weapons I want. I've already got Dead Orbit and New Monarchy to 3, so I'm working on the others now as they have items I'd like to have. It seems to be going quite slow since not all of the points are combined like the were for the factions. I'm always working towards that next level though (trying to get to 28) so I guess that is my overall plan.

Morning before work: - Do the daily heroic if I think i can solo in 20 minutes or less. Nights after everyone is in bed: -- vanguard bounties by patrol -- strike or two at lvl24 Although I'm starting the light in the dark bounty, and I hear that I may have to figure out pvp pretty soon...

4 RepliesVery similar, to what you do but I feel like my time is very limited, I might have 1-1.5 hours in the evening and I struggle to get a group together to actually accomplish anything before I have to hit the sack. Tonight I hope to do daily mission lvl 28, then weekly heroic if time allows. I need ascendant shards more than anything else, so if folks are doing a weekly nightfall, I try to get in on that too. Yet to complete my first nightfall or raid though. Feel like the biggest noob at lvl 27, lol. As a workaround to not getting a group together, I've started posting more here so folks recognize my name more and might group up when online. That's currently how I destiny but hoping to accomplish more soon.

1 ReplyWow. You guys are way more organised than me. I'm still doing the story missions, but I've spent a lot of time on patrol. I tend to leap into Control in the crucible when I'm time limited, which consistently reminds me that there are way better players than me.

First thing for me is always daily and gold public event followed by pve bounties. Tuesday's I try and knock out nightfall and weekly so the rest of the week I can farm and try getting into a VoG run after my normal plan of attack.

I tend to use my daily activities as a kind of warm up...I'll match up my PvE bounties with a farming run, and pick up at least one public event while on that planet. Then knock out the Daily Story. That leaves me the rest of the night for strikes/raids or working on leveling my alt toons. Like you, I have a general long-range plan...this week it is; level to 28, get to nightfall, acquire raid gear, prep for VoG.
