What a Weekend! Finally a Payoff!

Though I am stoked about how this weekend went, I'm hopeful that this post can bring encouragement to those of you who, like me, have not had the best of luck with RNGesus...Based on a very detailed post on leveling to the high 20's I found on reddit, [i][/i]prior to the issue of the game [i][/i], I've been grinding Vanguard rep almost since day one. Unfortunately all I had to show for it was a toon approaching 24 with nothing but blues...didn't even know what a purple looked like. But the guide said keep grinding, it will come. Finally it did, here's what happened... Last week I leveled to Vanguard 2 and purchased my first 3 pretty purple pieces. Greatly needed and appreciated, my drops were still pretty lame but the guide said to keep grinding. Later in the week tho, something started to change. It began with a weird titan chest piece that didn't do me much good as a Hunter but the drop itself was good quality. Then I finally got my first exotic bounty. After that I got my first purple drops. Yesterday I came back from a run grinding bounties and noticed I had a message at the Postmaster, leveled Van 3 so he had a purple package for me. Took it to Crypto and opening it leveled me with him, back to the Postmaster for another purple package. I was getting dizzy going back and forth but damn that was good. In the end I came up with... Strange Suspect, Light/Beware, Zombie Apocalypse, The Swarm, a legendary cloak and enough coins and motes that I'll be able to cash in both with Xur next week! The only thing better than last week will be this one. Moral of the story...grind away Guardian, even when you don't remember why you're doing it, keep on grinding!
