Official League of Legends discussion thread
Thought we could have one, since more members of MBT are starting to play. You know how these things work.
For those that don't know or are interested, league of legends is a free online game where you fight in arenas on teams, trying to destroy the enemy base. Its that RTS-styled field of view, but your champion has skills. Its not an RPG, its not an RTS. Its fun. leagueoflegends.com

So my new roomate is from China, and he was telling me all about the Chinese meta. I have finally discovered the secret of the Chinese Ezreal. He had to make a new account for the NA servers, so we just dominated a bunch of low levels.

2 RepliesThis will make champions who do not have natural escapes more viable. There are some really cool tricks involving thresh and his lantern. For example, to engage on enemy team taking baron, Thresh pulls himself over, drops his lantern, and his whole team joins him without using flash. Then they have the ability to flash out if needed.

I can imagine him he is going to be one of those initiating supports (which I don't play often). It also seems like he is going to be very hard to lane with because of the timing. One thing that will keep the lane passive though is his lantern which I am sure will be a nice counter against any one who does stuns pulls or knockbacks. I would probably pick him if the enemy team went with someone like Taric, Leona, Blitz, or Alistar.

Still testing different builds with him, but he may be an insta-buy for me because of how fun he is. Also seems like he has the potential to nuke anyone with a full rotation+DFG. His ult has 1.0 scaling with AP and at max level the first wall is a 99% slow, meaning you AREN'T getting away from him. Also, for those who haven't seen, his passive decreases with the more souls he harvests. Starts close to 1 AP/defensive point per soul until it drops down to .5 at minimum. He infinitely scales, but it is a decreasing scale, unlike Veigar or Nasus. Seems a bit weak right now, but the numbers can be fiddled with I think to around a .6 and he would be fine. If you build him non-support, leveling his E is the way to go. I originally thought it would be Q first, but his waveclear is one of the best with E and it has a much shorter CD than Q does. He also has really good mana regen, to the point where you can farm all day and never oom unless you literally spam every spell off CD. [Edited on 01.08.2013 5:34 AM PST]

Thresh gains no mitigation per level; he can only access that through collecting souls to fuel his rise to power. Really cool, but sounds really hard.
