Exotic Weapons Guide (part one) - by Tapunks

Exotic Weapons - Random Drops: These are obtained by pure luck. An engram may decrypt into them, or a post mission reward from a Strike, Crucible Match, and The Vault of Glass may yield one. Good Luck!
Auto Rifle: Hard Light (From Legendary/Exotic Engrams, Crucible drop, Strike reward, and Vault of Glass chests.) Also from Weekly Nightfall post Strike Rewards.)
Exotic Bounties - Before you choose! Though it is unclear what objectives need to be met, there's one thing for certain; turning in bounties causes Exotic Bounties to appear. There is a great amount of speculation that faction reputation increases the chances that exotic bounties will appear, though popular belief is that there is a COMPLETELY RANDOM chance turning in a bounty will bring up an exotic bounty. When an exotic bounty is available it will give you three options to choose from. Good luck! "A Light in the Dark"
Hand Cannon: Thorn Step One: Complete The Summoning Pits Strike on the Moon. (You can solo this one easy, it's part of the story line anyway.) Step Two: Kill 500 Hive enemies on the Moon. (Grind it out, it's easy.) Step Three: Kill Guardians in the Crucible using Void damage. Deaths slow your progress greatly! (I've never seen the bounties numbers go backwards the entire time I did this, but Noxious looked it up and you get Five Points for kills and lose Two Points for deaths. So as long as your average K/D is above 0.4 you'll be fine. You need 500 points so it's 100 kills if you don't die. Also, if you're dead, you're not killing) So far it is difficult to gain an elemental primary. So hopefully you have a Special or Heavy weapon you're comfortable using with void damage. It will take time but this part isn't that bad. It took me about ten games to get it done using a sniper and rocket with void damage. Step Four: Buy an Infusion of Light from The Speaker for one Mote of Light. (You should have at least five Mote's of Light by now so you're golden.) Step Five: Defeat Xyor the Unwed in an exclusive level 26 version of the The Summoning Pits Strike on the moon. He will appear once you have killed all of the minions around Phogoth the Untamed. (Not all the minions but pretty close to it.) Getting to Phogoth is very difficult. It is recommended to take three guardians approximately Light 25+. But some have said it is possible to solo. Defeating Xyor is the easy part thanks to a few Guardians who've found "glitches". One was shown to me by Oats. First let me label the rooms. The Boss Room: This room has the boss. The Shrieker Room: This is the room with the doorway to the Boss Room. (If you stand in it longer than 10 seconds once the boss room is open, a Shrieker appears.) The Safe Room: This is the room right before the Shrieker Room. You can hide beside the doorway if you're dying and the enemies won't enter this room. The Reset Room: If you go any further backwards from the safe room you will wipe the group when you're the last guardian standing. Strategy: You can pull enemies into the Shrieker Room, stand in the Safe Room and burst them with massive damage until they die. Keep killing enemies until Xyor appears. (Remember, enemies are weak against the same color as their shield. Wizards=Solar, Knights=Arc.) Defeat him and the bounty is done. Defeating Phogoth is not necessary but with all the enemies dead, it'll be easy so why not? The other exploitation I saw on a video though I havn't tried it. To make it easier here's the video
. "A Dubious Task"
Shotgun: Invective This one I found to be extremely easy. Step One: Complete five Strikes on any difficulty level without dying. (It doesn't have to be in a row, just keep going until you live through five of them) Step Two: Fight in the Crucible and achieve a 25 K/D ratio. (The point system is a bit obscured, but as long as you have a positive K/D you should be fine) it has been said that having a negative K/D will reset the bounty. I don't know if that's true, it took me three matches to complete it and I was positive for all three. (It DOESN'T have to be all in one match.) Step Three: Complete the Weekly Heroic Strike. (Having clan mates help make this one easy, but it can be soloed. It is located on your galaxy map while in orbit, it's on the left side stacked with the daily heroic, weekly nightfall, crucible daily, and occasionally queens bounty.) Step Four: Trade 50 Special Ammo Synthesis to Banshee-44 for the Invective component. (Chances are you don't have 50 special ammo synthesis. It takes 12,500 glimmer to buy them all from Banshee-44 and Invective is yours. Yes you buy it from him then give it back...)
"Toland's Legacy"
Pulse Rifle: Bad Juju Step One: Complete a Heroic or Epic Strike. (Easily done due to the first difficulty increase is considered "Heroic". Check for the little heroic symbol when you change a strike's difficulty. I can't find a picture online to link, but move your cursor to the picture to the right of the list of difficulties. A little skull-like emblem with a crown should be there.) Step Two: Complete 25 Strikes of any difficulty level. (Just grind it out) Step Three: Buy a Darkness-Infused Weapon Frame from Xur Agent of the Nine with one Strange Coin. (Xur is only available as a vendor from Friday morning to Saturday night.) Step Four: Fight in the Crucible and obtain 10,000 points with a K/D ratio above 1/1. (Do your best to not die. Camp, snipe, use heavy vehicles and weapons. Whatever you have to do to keep your K/D positive.)
