Nightfall 9/12/14

Completed this week's Nightfall last night. It's tough but doable. We were two "forever 29's" and a 30. Honestly I think it's the hardest one I've done so far in the game but it's also a lot of fun. Best tips I could give are: 1. Vision of Confluence as your primary. There's a lot of solar shielded wizards which are a real stumbling block and VOC does speed things up. 2. Arc Heavy Machinegun. I used an arc Swarm and it was very effective with the boss and Knights. Rocket launchers are a bit iffy as you're often rushed by packs of mobs and a poorly timed rocket can wipe you very quickly. 3. Alternate members secondary between Arc Murmur and Patience & Time for the first section to cover snipers and mobs of thrall respectively. Once you get to the boss you're probably best served switching to P&T for everyone and keeping your distance. 4. Only one person should go for a revive. End boss and her mobs have a lot of splash damage so you all need to keep distance from each other. 5. Boss tactics are to stay outside the two doors just before the gangplank. It's a slow process but you can whittle down her health reasonably safely from here and allow most of the mobs to come to you. There's also a ledge on the right that allows you a little safety. You just need to be careful of the cursed thrall spawn door just before those two doors as it will spawn 2-3 times during the boss fight. As long as you can give it a bit of time, are slow and steady throughout and don't mind having an appalling k/d ratio at the end it's not as bad as you'd imagine.
