Clichés

Once upon a time, cliche was a word scarcely used to describe unoriginality. Today, however, that is simply not the case. The word had become over used (and cliché?) because creators can't seem to make anything original. The movie industry and the comic industry (especially anything dealing with superheros) is full of a lot of clichés. But so are languages. Sayings of course are major source of clichés. In your opinion what are the worst and most overused cliches? Could be in movies, comics, the English language, Books, stories in general, whatever you want. Some that I've seen:
Resurrection: especially in comics, no one stays dead! Which really takes away from any suspense. Orphans and tragic back stories are also extremely overused. Everyone has dated everyone. This happens in really long stories like comics and tv shows. It gets old and doesnt promote healthy relationships at all. Over sexualization. This happens a lot. Men have humongous rippling muscles and what not and women wear extremely tight clothing and usually show off eye candy in impractical ways (story wise)
• The "minor misunderstanding/misinterpretation leads to drama - hijinks must ensue" romcom cliché.

    • Unrelated, but why does Iron Man always have blood on his face? Hes always got like little cuts and bruises and shit. He has a big metal helmet. HE CANT HAVE ANYTHING HAPPEN TO HIS FACE IF THERES A HELMET IN THE WAY.

-The "bad boy" still getting the girl despite all the heartache and frustration he's caused to one or more characters, advertently and inadvertently -The "good boy" who, despite his character to brown-nose the protagonist and bring to light the error of the "bad boy"'s ways through arguably upsetting methods, still getting the girl -That one character you hate with a passion that for some reason DOES get a happy ending -That one character you could imagine getting along with that gets -blam!-ed up by the proceeding of the plot in such a way that almost or completely emotionally scars you
