The Dark Guardian - Welcoming Chapter 3

2 days later... There was darkness around me. No light, only dark. I've always been told that the light was warm and the darkness was cold... but now I feel the truth. My vision faded in and out. My head was killing me. I stood up, only to fall to my knees. Then I heard it. A scream so loud you thought it couldn't exist. Thralls. They came at me at once, jumping and screaming at me. I was too weak to do anything. I thought this would be my last day alive. So I prepared for the worst. Then everything went quiet. An ogre came to me... looked down at me and made grunting noises which I understood... "Fear not Ascendant. For we are not here to kill you." It said with a lot of grunting. "We will take you to our god and take care of you." And with that, I was out like the dark around me... An unknown amount of time later... "Wake up... Wake up..." I heard. This time without the grunting. I slowly opened my eyes to realize I was laying in someone's lap. But something was off... I looked up only to have a witch looking back at me... Savathun... My eyes grew wide and I jumped out of her lap and landed 10 feet away. "How come you haven't killed me yet?" I asked her. She sat still on her throne, knights, and ogres on high alert after what I just did. Then she smiled. "I haven't killed you yet because you're different. Your power if far more powerful then any of the other so-called guardians I've corrupted." She said. "I need you to help me finally get rid of that Traveler. It brings nothing but evil and I must end it in order for revenge on my fallen brother. Oryx. "Wait, isn't the Traveler good?" I said. "It gave us a golden age. It made us live longer. We advanced so much because of it." "I'm telling you right now, That traveler is bad news." She grunted. Then... images appeared in my head. Pictures of the traveler going from civilization to civilization, giving them a time of technological advancement. Only to be destroyed by the dark. Then it came to us. Our golden age. We survived it, so it stayed. I fell to my knees, black tears running down my cheeks and staining the floors. Had I really been revived to protect this orb while it regenerated its power? My hands curled into a fist... I was going to end that traveler even if it killed me. "No time for mourning dear." She said. "You need a weapon if you want to fight the true bad guys. By the way, this is my realm. So don't worry about dying here." I stood up and followed her to the armory. 30 minutes later "I don't think any of these really fit me..." I said as I dropped a shattered bow. My darkness had shattered every weapon I had touched. "You know, of all the Walkers we've seen, you're the strongest." Ghost stated. "The fact that your even alive is impressive too. I blushed a little for no reason. "Do you have a scythe by any chance?" She turned and stared at me with eyes so dark you didn't think they could get any darker. "You want a scythe?" She said. I nodded. "There is only one that can fit your power, Para. It's called The Black Duster. It was lost on Earth during the collapse. You'll have to go there, find it, and tame its power." (I'm not really good and making ending so I'll end it right here :) )
