Timeline

Note: THIS TIMELINE IS NOT ACCURATE, BUT IT IS WHAT I USED FOR BLANK SLATE So, I've been asked about what time period my story (Blank Slate) is taking place in. In response, I have made this post. Since I don't want to spoil any of the events that will take place in Blank Slate, I've made a timeline that avoids mentioning his revival date. We all know the timeline that takes place in-game with the Guardian, VoG, Dark Below, etc. (which I call "present day"). The timeline I made is of many of the important events that happened before "present day." Destiny has done an excellent job of keeping timelines vague, so I had to do a small amount of guesswork. THAT'S RIGHT, EVERYONE! A FANFIC WRITER WHO TRIES TO STAY AS ACCURATE TO LORE AS POSSIBLE! IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD! Here's the TimelinE: The Faction Wars were ended when The Battle of Six Fronts started. After that: The Speaker and the Consensus were created, and the Tower began allowing three factions at a time to keep representatives at the Tower. The attempt to retake the Moon (called The Great Disaster) Happened after The Battle of Six Fronts. The first SIVA incident happened afterwards. Telling by the last use of the trolley to the Iron Temple (400 years ago), the first SIVA incident MAY HAVE happened about 400 years before "present day" gameplay. But only Bungie can tell us when these events actually happened. Twilight Gap happened after the first SIVA incident, though the time between isn't clear. Shaxx began overseeing the Crucible after Twilight Gap (probably very shortly after), and Zavala became the Titan Vanguard shortly after Twilight Gap. Andal Brask's death, as well as Cayde and Ikora becoming Vanguard members, happened after Shaxx took over the Crucible. 126 years before "present day," Andal Brask was still alive (so Cayde wasn't a Vanguard), and Ikora wasn't a Vanguard yet, but was making a name for herself in Crucible. Afterwards, Ikora spent time away from the Tower. It is not clear how close to "present day" it was when Ikora and Cayde became Vanguard members. Using the 126 year Crucible 25 win streak and the 400 year SIVA trolley, I estimated that Twilight Gap was MOST LIKELY 200-250 years before "present day," though anywhere from 150-300 is still very likely to be accurate. Banshee has been working as the Tower Gunsmith since before Cayde became a Vanguard member, and we don't know how long Dead Orbit has been at the Tower. But it's most likely that Dead Orbit has been there for a long time (to be specific, possibly at least 300 years, or even since Six Fronts). So, to conclude, these are the important dates I improvised: • Twilight Gap: about 250 years ago • Andal Brask's death/Cayde and Ikora becoming Vanguard: about 115 years ago If you have any questions or comments about the timeline, how/where I got these facts from, or anything else, please ask me in the comments.
