(Grimoire) Ghost Fragment Taken 3

Hey this is the third installment in the series of five. I'll be posting the fourth one later today, around 12 pm Midwest. Once more, pls no salt. I tried to make it blend with the standard grimoire, best I could with the grimoire cards I have. Enjoy! [spoiler]Ghost Fragment: Taken 3 Ten days before the defeat at the Battle of Saturn [A retelling of recent events, from Devi Cassl’s point of view] The Krag Outpost was compromised. While we were running our tests, it [stutter], came. We kept the specimen contained in our lab; the next day it was larger than ever. Psions stretched as far as the eye could see. When I arrived with Zudan, the security was let down. I grabbed my pistol and shot. With each shot, with each death, two more took its place. I hated to have to do it, but we had to destroy the complex. Zudan told be to go, he would assure that the job was well done. Awoken are greatly separated from humans. Death is an inevitable, to die with honor is a noble deed. I would not weep as you humans would. I would not cry, rather I would rejoice in the homecoming he brought. He gave us the scientific advancements we needed to run further DNA samples. I know he was a warrior. He would be proud to see what we now have. The Krag Outpost was a place where great exploration into the laws of science and physics happened. I am saddened to see what happened, but we must move forward. We know have the intelligence of the enemy that we need. The Taken mustn't be held captive, nor should they be brought to a place of great importance. Of the remains; we ran tests on the DNA and tried to link the connection back to Oryx. So far, we cannot reach Oryx. Until then, we’ll work to find it.[/spoiler]
