Trouble on Mars [Destiny One-Shot Story]

I've returned with a new idea: One-Shot Stories. They'll be short stories in one post. Usually as fillers between the main parts. The advantage with them is I might give a little sneak peek at what I'm working on. As for Reincarnations, schoolwork and other things are making it hard to work on it. Let me explain a few things in this: House Flame is my own fictional House, who teamed up with the Guardians in an alternate universe where some events are different than normal. This is the universe most of my stories will take place in. Tower Room 257: Guardian Lounge. The Last City, Earth. 2:43 PM Standard Tower Time. Two Guardians, Axon and Ventharok, are in the Guardian Lounge in the Tower. They're conversing. "How did Shaxx react to that?" said Axon. "From what I hear from Zavala, he yelled 'YES' so loud that the Vanguard and Eris came over to see what happened. Some Guardians also went over. That game was the most replayed that day since so many guardians wanted to hear what happened. I'm kind of renowned in the Crucible now. Just because of a 5-kill Nova Bomb..." Axon said, "Pretty sure you'll be overtaken soon and forgotten. But keep trying! Anyways, let’s head to the Dreadnaught. As they prepared to take off, Alder, Ventharok’s Ghost, detected a signal. "It's a distress signal, and it's coming from the House Flame stronghold! We need to go there now! I'm alerting Varthon now." They set their ships to Mars, where Varthon had been patrolling. Thus, he set up a landing zone and they met up, then went to the House Flame stronghold. It was built into the smaller volcanoes near Olympus Mons, which was far in the distance. Machinery was everywhere, some of it destroyed by the Cabal. They dispatched the ones outside, but it took them longer since they had more advanced armor, weapons, and equipment. And they were red, so they weren't any known detachment. Once they got in, they cleared some more Cabal and rescued any cornered House Flame members, taking them to help fight. Eventually they heard gunfire as they moved closer to Koriks' throne room. They barged through and immediately the scene of multiple [no pun intended?] fallen Fallen and dead Cabal were. Koriks saw them and yelled, "Just in time! Let's drive out the Cabal!" He roared and the Fallen moved forward with a newfound strength. They easily defeated the Cabal, but suddenly a massive one, who seemed like a Valus, barged in with six Phalanx-es, four Centurions, and two Colossi. He bellowed loudly, announcing his presence. "I am Valus Rha'arn, and Dominus Ghaul demands you be destroyed! The fight began. Koriks and Rha'arn began fighting fiercely. Ventharok and Axon took care of the Colossi and everyone else fought the Centurions and Phalanx-es. Then it was just Rha'arn and Koriks. Rha'arn dropped his gun and tackled Koriks, who was hit. They both hit the floor and Rha'arn tried to bash Koriks' skull, but he dodged it, swiped Rha'arn off, and got up. "I see how it is," said Koriks. His armor loosened then fell, revealing a highly muscular and strong body and leaving him only clad in some traditional Fallen wear. Rha’arn charged, and Koriks held out his arms as if to catch him, which he did, then proceeding to throw him into the wall using some of the force Rha’arn had shown. Rha’arn easily got up and they got into a fistfight for a few seconds, until Koriks used his Ultra Smash to launch Rha’arn back. Ventharok could hear armor breaking. Rha’arn got up and was furious. He charged with a ton of force and hit Koriks straight in the chest, sending him flying. He slid down onto his feet and, likewise, charged. But at the last second, he slowed and slid to the side, and using all his force, he hit Rha’arn’s head. Ventharok heard the cracking of bones as Rha'arn's body fell to the floor, lifeless. “Okay, I think we should go alert the city now. We should probably make sure they know of this new detachment,” Ventharok said. They left after securing the entire base and went to the City. But when they got there… It was being attacked by the very same detachment that attacked House Flame.
