Reincarnations Ch. 8 - The Panama Canal Blockade

I'm running out of ideas here, help! Also, I have an EXTREMELY IMPORTANT CHANGE to the story: This doesn't take place four months after the collapse, it takes place a bit before the battle of Six Fronts, just after the walls went up. Plus titles. The Fallen were EXTREMELY mad. They must have figured out we were going south, because they made a blockade near the Panama Canal. We landed and decided that we would have to find a way around. While we could have went truly around the blockade, some skiffs were patrolling the area over there. We would have to sneak through. Luckily, the skiff we were on had a couple of pikes, so we deployed those and decided to try and speed through. We stopped when we saw a Fallen patrol. We stopped and I picked off them quickly, then we sped through to avoid more coming to investigate. However, we didn't consider a plan and were seen. A fallen alarm started blaring and we sped at fast as we could. Our path was blocked by a Captain, four Vandals, and eight Dregs. We started firing the guns on our pikes, quickly dispatching them. The same amount of enemies was in another patrol, but it also had a Servitor. It damaged our pikes, but we dispatched them. The damage wasn't severe until our pikes wouldn't move. We got off and started sprinting to get out. We made it behind cover and followed it out of the blockade. We were safe, but with no way of transport. And trying to get past the Amazon would be a nightmare unless we had transportation. We walked to the nearest town, refueled, and came up with a plan. We would go to the Amazon and slowly build up a boat to take us across. Once we got across, we would have to hope there was some more Fallen so that we would have either pikes or skiffs.
