Reincarnations Ch. 7

[b][i]Ok. I'm back with a pretty long chapter!!! Let's begin.[/i][/b] We emerged from the Hive cave with our weapons at the ready. Since there was a KETCH above the city, I assumed they were either A. Assaulting the Hive, or B. Coming back to finish us off. Likely a combination, since we were using their skiff. I took a post on the 2nd floor of the skyscraper. Axon stayed down there since I would provide sniper support if he needed it. Plus, I had told him how the wire/shock rife worked in case we needed to switch if he was injured. "Axon, ready whenever you are," I said. Axon replied with, "Indeed I am!" A skiff dropped in and a small scavenging crew of a Captain, two Vandals, and four Dregs dropped in. I took out two of the Dregs as Axon took out the Captain's shields. After the shields were down I quickly head-shot the Captain, killing it. I grabbed a spare grenade from the grenade launcher I made and threw it at the remaining Dregs as Axon finished off the Vandals. Wave 2 came in after that. It consisted of a Servitor, two Captains, four Vandals, and six Dregs. Axon retreated to the cover of the building I was in. I picked off the dregs as they approached the building, but I didn't get a shot on the Vandals, so I shot at the Servitor instead. It looked up at me and began firing it's purple energy blasts. Axon took out the vandals and came up to wait for one of the Captains, so I moved away from the window and positioned myself to kill the Captain. When it came up, I took my pistol from a belt I found and fired it at the Captain. Once it's shields were gone, Axon slid in between it's legs and stabbed it in the back of it's head, killing it. I got back to my post and finished off the Servitor, then we did the same thing to the second Captain we did with the first one. Finally, they sent a Baron, probably since they didn't have any other available Archons. However, it was about as large as an Archon - it must have been close to becoming one. I took position in the back and prepared my sniper. Axon grabbed an old knife and threw it at the Baron. It tried to melee him, but I used my sniper to hit him in the chest, making him stagger and face me. It shot it's shrapnel launcher at me, burning my armor. Axon gave me his knife. I slid just beside the Baron, jumped on top of it, and stabbed it in the back. It shook me off, and as I was getting up, it rammed me so that I was out of the battle. I landed safely, but some of my motors were damaged, and my wire rifle was still where Axon was. It was just Axon and the Baron. He grabbed my rifle and staggered it with a quick shot. Axon tried to get close for his pistol, but he got slammed back when it used it's smash attack. I threw the knife at it to try and kill it. Since I had thrown it like a Frisbee, it was sideways. It just so happened the wind picked it up... And decaptitated the Baron. Axon ran over to me, saying, "Great throw!" When he got over, I sat up so he could check out the damage dealt to me. "Nothing major, just a few joint motors damaged. You might not move that good, but you're fine for the most part," he said. I stood up, and I could tell what he meant since I could feel some pain where my joint motors were. We managed to find our skiff, somehow. Eventually the Fallen retreated and the Ketch left. We left and went towards South America. That wasn't the end of our problems, however.
