Reincarnations Ch. 6

"Axon, we made a huge mistake, RUN!" I yelled. However, the exit was blocked by a damaging miasma. We took out most of the Thrall as the Acolytes and a Knight came. After that, Axon took down the last Thrall, and he started to fire on the Acolytes while I distracted the Knight. We were hit a few times by the Acolytes, destroying part of our armor plates and damaging us, but not disabling us. Axon gave his knife to me and I rushed the Knight. It hit me, sending me flying onto a wall and breaking much of my back armor plates and some wiring, but I was still going. It tried to hit me again, but I rolled to the side and stabbed the Knight in the gut. It staggered, and once again hit me with it's sword and hit my mobility wiring, disabling me from walking. "NO!" he shouted, infuriated. He charged the Knight and was also hit, but it didn't make him go flying - it did however expose his wiring. He grabbed the knife and stabbed it's leg, followed by a blow to the Knight's head, killing it and dissolving it into dust. Axon knelt next to me to check my damage. "Most of your mobility wiring is gone, I'll have to carry you out. Problem is, I'm damag-" He was interrupted by a loud explosion. "What.. was that?" I asked. "Hold on, let me go check," said Axon. He went to check it out. About half an hour later, he ran back down, fast, carrying spare metal and wire. "It's those creatures from Chicago!" he said. "Quick, patch me up and then I'll do the same to you, then we can handle this," I said. We did exactly that. After I grabbed an armor plate and rune that was on the Knight, we then left the cave, ready to face the Fallen again.
