Hi, all! This is another facet of Rezyl Azzir/Dredgen Yor (gamer tag Basket34Ball) Paradox story, told from the perspective of James' rival Dredgen Yor in a series of journal entries. No, Shrimp, I don’t want to do that right now. I don’t care if that’s not your name or if the Vanguard say it’s therapeutic, I don’t feel like it. So what? You’re my Ghost, not my shrink. It’s already on? D*** you. Pssshhhhhhhhh. Okay, what do you want me to say? How do I feel? I ran into that Stryker kid, [i]that’s [/i]how I feel. It’s more than just being rivals…or, maybe it has everything to do with it, who cares? It’s beyond the Crucible, but it starts there. I mean, he can’t even wield Light, but he gets to fight the rest of us like he’s someone special. Sure, he’s related to Rezyl Azzir, but what difference does [i]that[/i] make? Family doesn’t automatically make you Guardian material, right Shrimp? How you take death…[i]that’s [/i]what really matters. And don’t think this has to do with Azzir. I admire the guy. Who doesn’t? Stryker, that’s who. You ever hear him complain about how he and his dad argue? He should be so lucky to have Azzir as his father. I’d certainly take it. But he changes his name, tries to put as much distance between himself and Azzir as he can. For a guy who’s got it all, and keeps getting more, he’s just ungrateful. What do I mean? Do I have to spell it out? He’s Rezyl Azzir’s kid, he gets away with running off to the Cosmodrome and fighting real Guardians in the Crucible, Osiris is giving him special attention, the Vanguard practically patted him on the back for kicking the crap out of them as a Fallen mutant, and then Ana Bray still has the nerve to like him. Ana Bray…I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole issue I have with the guy starts and ends with her. I mean, what does she see in the whiny putz? Probably sees him as a charity case. And the way he looked at me when I mentioned her…that burned me. Like he doesn’t like me being on her team. Like I’m not good enough for her, like he thinks I’d do something awful to her if we were alone. That’s not how I feel about her, and you know it. I wish I could get a moment alone with her, tell her how I feel. Maybe I’ll get a chance now Stryker’s gonna be busy being the Vanguard Commander’s apprentice. Finally be good to get that thorn out of my side.
