Reincarnations - Chapter Three

I said, "We were shut off for longer than we thought. Aliens have invaded." "What do they look like?" Axon asked. I explained, "Some of them have four arms. Some have two arms. They still have two legs, though. I'm assuming that the four-armed ones have a higher rank, as the four-armed one I saw was commanding two of the two-armed aliens. The shapes of them were like a human body, but it wasn't the same. Another thing - They were wearing red. Now, let's get to a safer place." We came out of the alley we were in and looked for any other survivors. We still could not find any. "I heard the Traveler had moved to somewhere in South America, before the thing hit," said Axon. My eyes 'widened' and I said, "That's going to take a long time to get there... Unless we can see if the aliens have some type of craft we can use to get the-" We heard what sounded like something coming out of a portal. I looked behind us and I saw a massive spaceship with a pointed nose and a large engine coming out of bridge fly over us. Following it were smaller crafts that seemed to be drop ships. "More aliens?! MOVE!" I yelled, as one of the drop ships saw us and came towards us. We ran into a building and ducked behind a desk. I took out my pistol and watched as the drop ship landed and 3 of the two-armed creatures came out, alone with 2 four-armed creature and a larger one that was also four-armed, but wasn't like the other ones I saw. They looked around, and the large one spoke in a language that we did not know. The aliens split up, and the 3 two-armed creatures were coming towards our building. I whispered, "Axon, they're coming for us. Go into the other room. I'll handle these aliens." He nodded and went to the other room, watching through a window. I stood up, still somewhat hidden, and aimed at the head of one of the aliens. I said, "Gotcha." I fired my pistol. It hit the alien and it's head disappeared, a white mist coming out of the opening. The 2 other two-armed creatures looked in my direction and fired. The 3 four-armed creatures ran over to investigate. I crouched as bursts of what appeared to be bullets made of energy passed over my head. I popped up once in a while to fire on the creatures. I took care of another one of the two-armed creatures, but the third came towards me with a blade in hand. It dodged the bullets I fired and hit me with it's blade, paralyzing me from an electric overload. I fell to the ground. It cheered, clicking and hissing to celebrate it's success. "NO!" Axon yelled. He ran out with a metal bar and bashed the skull of the third alien with it, making him also fall to the floor. He then slammed the creature's head with it, surely killing it, and crouched in front of me. "I'm fine, just an electrical overload from it's blade..." I said. I discharged the electricity from the blade onto some other metal bits and gave it to Axon. I grabbed my pistol and we ran outside, stunning the four-armed creatures and giving us a head start, while firing at the four-armed aliens as they ran towards us, returning fire. We ran into an alley and ducked behind some barrels. "I have an idea. Climb up that ladder to that door, go into the building, and wait at the window. When they come, i'll throw a barrel at them. Then you can jump out, stab them from behind, and I'll help by shooting them," I said to Axon. He nodded and did exactly that, then waved at me from said window to make sure I knew he was there. The aliens entered the alley. As they got closer, I whispered, "Closer... Closer... Perfect!" I grabbed a barrel and tossed it at them. It hit them, stunning them for a few moments. Axon burst out of the window, jumped down, and stabbed the smaller four-armed aliens to surprise them, then sliced their heads off, killing them. I raised my pistol and shot at the larger one, who took out two blades and ran towards me. Axon stabbed the four-armed creature, who turned around and parried Axon's next attack, then gave him an electric overload. I used the advantage that he couldn't see me to throw a large brick from the rubble of another building. It stunned the alien and gave Axon the chance to get up and cut it's head off. "That was fun. Minus the electricity overloads," I said. Axon nodded and said, "Ha, agreed." I placed my pistol in a backpack I had salvaged and took an energy rife that looked like a sniper from one of the four-armed aliens. Axon kept his knife, and I followed him back to where the bodies of the two-armed creatures were. Axon took an energy pistol from one of them. The drop ship stayed there, presumably because it was piloted by the large alien. We went towards it, and I used my vehicle and hacking skills to figure out which controls were which. I started it up and flied out of Old Chicago, towards South America. However, a signal was sent to this drop ship by two other ones that followed us. We couldn't figure out the alien language. I said, "Uh... SCREW YOU." and turned off the comm channel. Wrong thing to say. The drop ships shot at us, making us crash in a field. "Seriously, Ventharok?" Axon said. I said, "C'mon, either way they would have known we weren't part of them!" We walked out with only a few cracks on our metal due to the drop ship taking most of the damage. And somehow, my backpack survived. We saw that the other drop ships were deploying troops in an area not far from us, likely to salvage the ship and kill us. As I readied my energy rifle, I said, "You ready?" Axon raised his energy pistol and said, "You bet. Let's do this." With that, we prepared for the attack. For anyone who wants to know, Axon is my hunter. You'll see how he became a guardian later on. Ventharok is, as many of you likely know, a warlock. Obviously he was resurrected in his next re-incarnation. Another thing: I'm 90% sure that the Traveler & Last City is NOT in South America. However, the geography makes it possible to be in Chile. Plus, how would they go overseas without transport?

 • The Last City's location is so debatable, you could have it in numerous places since you're taking advantage of multiple timelines. Base a lot of my characters after my in-game Guardians as well. Bump!
