The Broken Blade; Non-Cannon Triple Threat Titans Short
Don't call me a copycat. I'm bored. I don't know how to write the Crota's End raid. I will admit, I did kinda pull a Snarki. -Splash
Cody stared into the eye of the dead Ghost lying in his palms. He cried. He should've been the one who sacrificed himself to destroy the source of the SIVA outbreak. Not Mark. All of the Ghosts who knew Havoc and Mark-54 were dead silent. And the Ghosts' Guardians had different reactions. Mia, Flynn, Rosegold-7, Cayde-6, and dozens of other Hunters had donned the Vermilion Stripe. Rosegold constantly threw herself over the railing of the Tower, only to be revived by her Ghost. Mia was firing her Dusk Bow in Mark's memory. She vowed to never forget him. Then she returned to the European Dead Zone, hunting. Flynn, disappeared into the wilderness of Venus, (The planet, not his Ghost.) shortly after donning the stripe. Sarah had been sobbing for nearly a month. "Why Mark?" she wailed. She had keepsakes. Mark's Radiant Dance Machines, a couple shards of his lucky Bladedancing knife, and his favorite cloak, Bladedancer's Cloak. Blake just waited at Felwinter's Peak. He wanted Mark to return. But he knew Mark was dead. Kyra accompanied the Titan. JJ stayed by Sarah's side. He wept with her. He himself, secretly had been have the blues because Chase had vanished mysteriously. Mark-54 was what held them all together. The Orginial Fireteam. Mark had thought of his friends as one big happy, dysfunctional family. Now his memory is what they're all holding onto.
