Getting together and playing

Hey All, I haven't be active in destiny for a bit, real life and such. I played a bit last night and it became more evident that if I want to progress past 28 (without having to grind my ass off on the same content all the time) that I need to hook up with ppl. Is there some kind of schedule that is available to get some teams going for raids or is it just adhoc? I would really like to become involved in more of the team based stuff like the raids. Please can someone let me know how that aspect works here so we can start making some teams. Thanx Regards dracosveen
