How Clans Work In Destiny

See here for an explanation > Bungie.net Update: Clan Features *** Welcome to group City Hidden in the Snow: Clan name - Wolves Reign United Clan Connection, a service provided to connect DoD, WRU, and CHS members interested in the clan feature provided by Bungie. This thread is intended to outline the benefits of becoming a clan member, provide a basic "how-to create a clan" tutorial, and offer links to available clans in the Dads of Destiny Alliance. This is also the area to recruit members for a newly created clan. TO CLAN OR NOT TO CLAN... Currently there are four major benefits of joining a clan and all revolve around Destiny's in-game clan features. *Clan name & tag - The clan that you have "Set as (platform) clan" will appear on your player card in-game and the clan tag [TAG] will appear before your GT/PSN ID. *Aquire achievements/trophies - Destiny will have specific achievements/trophies that can only be acquired by completing objectives with a team consisting of clanmates only. *Nightfall Daily/Weekly challenges - It is an advantage to attempt high level Nightfall challenges with a team consisting of clanmates only (Mentioned here!). *Raids - It is an advantage to have trusted clan members at the ready when you attempt Raids as online multiplayer matchmaking will not be offered for this game type (Confirmed here!). ******************************************************************************************** HOW TO CREATE A CLAN In order to begin the clan creation process you must be signed in to your bungie.net account. Step 1: Create your group Click the "Groups" icon in the left navigation on any bungie.net page then "Click here to start your own group". This will bring you to the "Group Creation" page. Step 2: Complete the fields Complete all fields to customize your group as you see fit. *NOTE* - Fields required are Avatar, Banner, Name, and Mission Statement (all others are optional). Selecting "Enable (platform) clan features" automatically promotes the group to clan status. You can designate the clan to represent Playstation/Xbox or both (75 max clan capacity per platform, 150 per clan when both selected). Select "Create Group" to make your group/clan official. Step 3: Recruit Once your group has been created begin recruiting membership for your clan. To begin enjoying Destiny's in-game benefits you must recruit three (3) additional members. Begin representing your clan in-game. *Please keep all recruitment posts for newly formed clans here in the DoD Clan Connection thread. This thread is private and for DoD member use ONLY. Any recruiting topic created in the main DoD forums WILL be deleted.* Step 4: Request DoD Alliance To request alliance with Dads of Destiny or City Hidden In the Snow navigate to Dads of Destiny or City Hidden In the Snow main page and select "Interact" > "Request Alliance" > Wait for admin approval.
