How can I improve my computer's performance? (Minecraft, Arma 3)
My computer
-i5 3470 3.2GHz
-8GB 1600MHz RAM
-Intel HD 2500 :( (upgrade coming in a few months)
-1TB SATA 3 HDD
Now, I average around 45 FPS on max settings, that includes advanced Open GL, and Normal View distance (far is glitchy even with 64bit Java)
Is this expected? Can I improve performance without upgrading?
In addition, if I get the 7850 for my rig, how do you think it will cope with Arma 3?

The only thing I can suggest would be to over clock your Graphics card if there isn't any software that you think may be slowing it down. Make sure you've got no temperature issues, and that your Power Supply can handle it, first.
