MCC co-op campaign lag??

Recently me and some friends are trying to play co op campaign thru MCC, but whenever we try to play with 3 or 4 of us, it lags like crazy..... Is this something on 343s end, or is it our connections fault..... Please let me know in the comments if you know.... Thanks!
