you know why i always play female characters

it isn't because i want to be one or because the gaming market is over saturated with male leads and i'm going to make a unique character. it's just because it makes choices matter more to me. why? because women are objects. men aren't worthy of being controlled. male commander shepard saves the galaxy by himself; femshep needs my guidance and approval. i don't give a shit what male rpg man looks like, but female lady must be molded over the course of at least two minutes to my tastes; otherwise she would've been utterly worthless regardless of how many game worlds she saved or ruined. i have to assign the female character's traits personally, because she would've picked wrong. same thing with each moral decision. i know if i wasn't in control, my female elf rogue would've just curled up in a ball and cried when faced with the decision of templars-or-mages. and when it comes time to pick a virtual awkward sex partner, i always like to think i'm forcing the fem-PC to kiss and screw her least favorite person in the party. like on the inside she's screaming for this to stop as garrus' disgusting chitin shin tears into her flesh, and Garrus has to keep a constant stream of medi-gel to keep her from dying from blood loss. But I don't let it stop. Because I don't want to.

  • I'm playing for the first time ever as a female character. And I've been gaming for 18 or so years. But it took an obsession with a game to even get me to do it.
