Ruin wings would still be secondary to Saint 14, there's no comparison to the safety of a bunch of enemy's holding their hands in front of their eyes. If the wings worked consistently that would be great, but clearly they don't. I am currently forced to use wings as I just had the raid gauntlets drop and of course leveling them is a chore, but once they are maxed I doubt I will use wings much. I can always buy heavy synth, but the value of the saint 14 perk - priceless.

On paper you're right, but they seem to have a lot of problems from player-to-player. They hardly ever kick in for me, but when they do? Oh man, are you ever right.

Edited by Arron Rift: 2/5/2015 11:15:17 PMI have ruin wings AND Gjallarhorn ;) And ruin wings aren't quite as great as they seem. Last heroic strike I did I only saw one freaking heavy ammo drop the whole match.

Even if ruin wings drop only one ammo pack that pack still contains extra ammo so it works out either way

Don't get me wrong, I love my ruin wings and the great line-backer look they give my titan, but I think I would take the Saint 14's life saving boost to my panic bubble in any nightfall :)

True that. If I switch to a different helmet after wearing saint I always forget that enemies dont get blinded so I end up getting smacked in the face while in my bubble :(

I chuckled, this has happened to me many times too. Pop bubble, Captain smacks me dead, wth? Oh crap! And that those wings haven't made it rain purple ammo only adds salt to the wound.

i see heavy drop just as much when im wearing my glasshouse, then when im wearing my ruin wings.. but to be honest.. if i could get a -blam!-ING raid helmet id probably use the ruin wings
